Does it work without internet?

Once activated, yes � all redaction runs on your machine and your footage never leaves it. Activation itself currently requires an internet connection; fully offline / air-gapped activation isn't supported yet. Either way, your video and audio are never uploaded.

What happens when my license expires?

Running Blenda requires an active license, so the application won't launch once it lapses � you renew to use it again. Your work is never locked away, though: everything you've already exported � redacted video, reports, and snapshots � stays on your disk as standard files that remain yours.

Is the redaction permanent in the exported file?

Yes. Exports are re-encoded with redactions rendered into the pixels and audio. There is no overlay, no hidden layer, no embedded original. Metadata is scrubbed on export.

What if the AI misses something?

That's why the review workflow exists. Every detection is listed and inspectable before export; low-confidence transcript segments are flagged for listening. You add manual redactions in seconds � the AI accelerates the work, a human approves the release.

How do you handle payment for government purchasers?

Credit card, ACH, and purchase orders. W-9 available on request. Quotes for volume orders are typically same-day.

Is it CJIS compliant?

CJIS compliance applies to agencies and their handling of CJI, not to a software product in isolation. What we can say precisely: Blenda processes everything locally and transmits nothing, so no CJI ever leaves systems you control.

Windows only?

Currently yes (Windows 10/11, 64-bit). Mac and Linux users run it in a Windows VM. A dedicated, hardware-accelerated GPU is required for AI processing.
